Changes in Version 1.5.2 (Macintosh)

Resolved

  • Moved scheduled backup and replication logging information from the error log to the communication log.Scheduled server backups did not work when the day was set to Sunday. Also requires updating the Mac client to version 2.5.1.

 

Known Issues

  • Offline Mode will not go into effect after restarting FontExplorer X Pro client Version 2.5. Please update the FontExplorer X Pro client to version 2.5.1

 

Changes in Version 1.5.2 (Windows)


New Features

  • The interface of the Server Preference Pane has been optimized
  • Now it is possible to create Master/Slave configurations to balance the server load on several machines. Those servers can replicate by schedule. Please find more information about this in the Administrator Manual
  • The LDAP connection has been expanded to include a direct user authentication against the LDAP server. All users known to the LDAP can now login to the FontExplorer X Server with their standard domain password
  • The administrator now can hide the Local Library and local sets for FontExplorer X Pro client users
  • The administrator now can disable the font import into the Local Library for FontExplorer X Pro client users
  • Administrators now can make a set of fonts mandatory for download and/or activation for every user by activating this option in the server set property dialog
  • The integrated Backup function now has a scheduler which can be set using the administration features of FontExplorer X Pro for Macintosh
  • The target directory for the integrated Backup now can be set by the administrator   

       
Known Issues

  • The Scheduled replication time in the server Slave panel will always revert to 12:00 AM when not selected
  • An unhandled exception may occur if the network connection is interrupted and reestablished while downloading a software update. Workaround: Close the server panel and reopen it before restarting the "Check for updates" process.
  • If you should choose to deinstall FontExplorer X Server, the firewall settings will not be automatically removed by the deinstall process. They must be manually reset
